  3. Q  How secure is my data with Password Corral?
  4.  
  5. A  Very secure. The 128-bit Diamond2 encryption is virtually unbreakable.
  6.    That said, your data is only as secure as the master password you choose
  7.    to encrypt it with. Don't use easy to guess, short words. Don't use your
  8.    name or birth date. Do use a combination of upper and lower case letters
  9.    and numbers. You can also use special characters in your password, like
  10.    the "+" and "&" characters.

  13. Q  How secure is my data in a Password Corral export file?
  14.  
  15. A  Password Corral export files are just as secure as the data the program
  16.    stores in the Windows registry.

  19. Q  Are there any "back doors" in Password Corral? Can Cygnus Productions or
  20.    the U.S. government easily view my data?
  21.  
  22. A  There are absolutely no back doors or secret ways for Cygnus
  23.    Productions, the U.S. government, or anyone for that matter, to decrypt
  24.    your data. The master password you choose for your Password Corral
  25.    account is the only way to successfully decrypt your data.

  28. Q  If I forget my master password, is there any way to recover my data?
  29.  
  30. A  No. Your master password is the only way to decrypt your passwords.
  31.    Without it there is no way to recover your data.

  34. Q  Is Password Corral Year 2000 Ready?

  39. Q  Why is Password Corral for use only in the USA and Canada?
  40.  
  41. A  United States law prohibits us from permitting use to residents in
  42.    countries other than the US and Canada. Any cryptographic materials that
  43.    use an encryption algorithm with a key greater than 40-bits cannot be
  44.    exported. Until this law changes we cannot grant permission to use
  45.    Password Corral to anyone outside the US or Canada.

  48. Q  Will Password Corral be ported to any other platforms, like UNIX or the
  49.    Macintosh?

  51. A  At the current time there are no plans to port Password Corral to any
  52.    other platform. This is, of course, subject to change.

  55. Q  I'm a disk/software vendor and would like to include Password Corral in
  56.    a disk/CD/on-line collection of software for distribution. Does Cygnus
  57.    Productions allow this?

  59. A  As long as your business is a US or Canadian company and does not
  60.    distribute Password Corral outside of either said countries, Cygnus
  61.    Productions grants the right to distribute Password Corral at will,
  62.    providing it is not-for-profit (save a small fee to recover any
  63.    manufacturing or distribution costs), that Cygnus Productions receives
  64.    full credit for the program and that the program remains unmodified and
  65.    ships with all it's original files intact. It is requested that the
  66.    software compilation and any included magazine or documentation be sent
  67.    to us for our records. Those wishing to distribute Password Corral for
  68.    profit should contact Cygnus Productions for written permission and any
  69.    applicable licensing terms and fees.
